    i found this pair at a roadside stand near the olympic mountains. i was tired of sport shoes which never seem to let my feet feel relaxed and natural. i guess i should have gotten a pair with a sole, but that kind of defeated the point of wanting my feet to connect with the earth. i wore them to hike into the mountains, and it was pouring down rain. later i dried them with campfire, so i guess they are true smoked moccasins now. they smell like smoked salmon and i love it. i try to keep them off concrete, but in the forest and on dirt they are wonderful. i bought a half size small and they have stretched quite a bit - i wish i'd bought a full size small. and i wish i had another pair:), maybe soon.

          I always loved my classic soft-soled mocs and decided to revisit an old faithful. I loved the look of these - rather more refined and stylish than the classic ankle fringed. They fit great even though I tend to go barefoot or wear sandals and have a natural wide foot. The photo is very accurate as to color and design. The only thing I was slightly disappointed in was they are more of a low-top than an ankle height like the traditional ones I loved so much. In addition, they have an inserted sole pad on the inside - very comfortable but unneeded - I would have done fine with just the suede sole. I may remove it.
