moosehide uppers can't be beat for comfort.
However there are 3 options for soles none of which are perfect. These aren't right for wet ground or sidewalks. The "nubby" driving soles are uncomfortable and the polyethelene hard soles (the worst) click like a typewriter when you walk.

Shoes felt a little small. I had another pair of mid-top mocs from the same place and they fit much more true to size. I'd like to get a pair of outdoor mocs with a tougher buttom with getting a nubby bottom like Minnetonka's. I would recommend but I'd be wary about the sizing.

I have several moccasins which get their use depending on weather variations. I needed to have a pair that would get full usage for Spring and Fall without inside lining, and could be worn inside and outside the house without hard soles. These moccasins fit the parameters perfectly. The double moose skin soles appear to have the durability required. The fit was perfect, and I knew I finally found "the missing link" I needed for Spring and Fall wear. I only wish I had found these a lot sooner as I have pairs which I have no further use. Great product which I recommend to those who may have similar needs as I had.

I was a bit taken aback when I first opened the box. I was replacing a pair on Minnetonka moccasins I have enjoyed for years. These were the old fashion stiff unlined leather mocs from years gone by. I loved them. Then these new ones show up - all nice and soft with a soft lining inside. It just did not seem right. But it didn't take long for me to appreciate the comfort. I love the new moccasins!

A: The vast majority of Minnetonka moccasins are made in their own factory situated in the Dominican Republic. A few styles are currently made in China and from time to time manufacturing facilities in other countries are used.
