My son dances with these mocassins, the last pair lasted a very long time. He outgrew the other pair. Great quality hide (a good thing) it lasted him 2 shoes sizes. It may feel a bit small but with frequent wear the hide stretches. He's danced and played in them. Its the perfect pair. I opted to make a pair for him but with him growing these are just right for the price and use. I recommend for children learning to dance pow-wow.

The gasps of delight from my 6 y.o. daughter were priceless as I opened the box that held her new moccasins. She was utterly thrilled but cried big tears when they didn't fit. I think it was my fault and I didn't realize how she had grown, but perhaps they run the tiniest bit narrow? We're making a special trip to the post office today to exchange for a larger size. She's so eager to wear them and they're so gorgeous and supple. Soft and comfy-looking. We're both so happy to have a comfy & unique shoe for playing, and some everyday wear (I'm afraid the bottom will tear if we wear them out and about too much).

I bought these for my 7 year old daughter and her best friend who are very interested in Native Americans (philosophy, lifestyle, respect of wolves, and clothing). They adore their matching moccasins. I love that they come up high and tie so I could get them a bit larger and they can keep them a while. I was very disappointed that the beads fell off in one spot the first day my daughter wore them.

A: The vast majority of Minnetonka moccasins are made in their own factory situated in the Dominican Republic. A few styles are currently made in China and from time to time manufacturing facilities in other countries are used.
